I’d spent most of the holiday scrubbing the cabinets of a rental home, fixing a crack in the ceiling and painting the living room. Another time, the editors emailed with an assignment while I was on a trip to ask Laura if she’d like to get married. That’s barely halfway satisfied, and I was on a holiday vacation for most of it.

Emotional blocks – boredom, daydreaming, stress, guilt, anger and frustration reduce concentration. When you enjoy what you are doing, it reduces stress. When stress is reduced, you work more efficiently. Switching and floundering – lack of concentration and focus on one job. Use priority lists to focus attention.
