The Nadler Soho is located just off Soho Square which is pretty much in the centre of London’s West End with its theatres, restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. The Polo Bar was full of locals and hotel residence and the Tsukiji Restaurant was very popular too. The Westbury is also home to a Michelin starred restaurant run by Alyn Williams. Considering the hotel is a 5* property I felt this was a little on the stingy side, particularly as the mini bar prices were extortionate.

It is a lovely part of Geneva with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. I did manage to escape work for long enough to pick up some groceries from the local supermarket with the intention of using the wonderfully equipped kitchen for some home cooking. I was staying in a one bedroom apartment and it was gorgeous.

The foyer, the salon bar and the restaurants are beautiful. I felt that the food could have been a bit flashier (you do tend to expect that in a five star hotel restaurant) but that would have probably only raised the price and not the quality. The fish cake and the chicken sat on the standard priced menu.

The Doubletree was situated in the heart of downtown Memphis; close to plenty of fantastic restaurants, shops and local attractions including the Fedex Forum and Memphis Redbirds stadium. Lots of informal (and informal being the operative word) meetings were taking place in the restaurant while I stayed in the hotel. The restaurant area has a great atmosphere with lots of comfy sofas and chairs. Room service is not available however the restaurant serves food until 10pm and the bar snacks are available until 12pm.
