The phone should be on the desk as near to your keyboard and computer screen as possible. – you might not need tape everyday but when you do you won’t be able to find any. If you have a drawer keep this in there rather than on your desk. Always handy to have on your desk.

Once I am finished with the task, I would look at my next task on my to-do list and figure out what applications I wont need. Then I would open up the applications associated with the next task.

Sometimes I wish I had something to warn me when I am with someone with a cell phone so I can know that we are going to be interrupted. I find it frustrating when people either text while in a conversation or are constantly taking phone calls. Apparently not, when its by phone. In an emergency, the cell phone is a useful tool.
