The phone book is filed alphabetically and you can always use that as a reference. It is very important if you get phone calls and make decisions on a file to document that by writing a note and putting it on the file by date. When someone new looks through the file they will see a chronological record of incidents. You want to file letters, faxes and e-mails received and sent chronologically. Your file should be neat. The good: it allows users to browse, view and share backed up files on the move at anytime. But what I could do was email the file to myself and edit it on the iPhone with the document editing app I have (DocsToGo), then email the edited file to someone, so at least that’s something. For instance, If you do not claim bills on your taxes, don’t waste time filing them into separate folders for electricity, phone, garbage, etc. But that will take you less time than filing each one individually every month. As soon as you finish paying bills, file them. In one interview, the person interviewing me said he needed his filing done on a daily basis as many people were using the files and it was important to have all the information up to date. This was mentioned a few times in the interview so I knew it was important and when I got the job I made sure to do my filing every day. Acquaint yourself with your boss's files. Files may need to be cleaned up and put in proper order and new file folders made.

To set an email signature file: 1) From the Tools Menu, choose Options 2) Select Mail Format 3) Select Signatures 4) Select New and follow the instructions to add your email signature. Sometimes a better way to communicate would be picking up the phone or meeting someone face to face. Tip for filing emails: If it is necessary to file a hard copy of the email. File emails chronologically by date and time.
