The amount of skill, pressure, stress, and problem solving differs at each of those levels. At times, it's not that I felt overqualified, but assistant/admin work to a degree is the same skill set utilized repeatedly without creativity injected. From what I've heard, the assistants did leave with class and their dignity intact.

Ask your boss for opportunities to train in other departments, or to attend seminars or classes at a local university. Your resume should always be able to reflect that you’ve kept up on the latest training and skills. Attend an event or sign up for an online class that really challenges you. Find a mentor. Reduce the stress and annoying things in your life to maximize your happiness. I would rather go to a pilates studio that has classes late at night that fits my work hours vs going to a gym that only costs $30 a month. When you leave your job, other companies will only consider you for jobs of equal or higher pay and skills.
