In fact, there is an event called #AdminChat that’s just for assistants – a free event that happens with a select resource, weekly, hosted by Executive Secretary Magazine (another phenomenal administrative resource). Finalist – PPA Independent Publisher’s Business Magazine of the Year 2013 – Lucy has been a supreme collaborator and provider of quality content for administrative professionals. I give PA support to each boss including diary management, booking international travel, preparing contracts, documents and papers. I also manage and mentor our team’s Apprentice, who is an invaluable help for various admin tasks. I was also awarded runner up in the Hays Executive PA Magazine 2012 PA of the Year Award – this was a huge achievement for me and it changed my life, making me realise my potential and encouraged me to keep pushing myself forwards.

Career Blogging: A new way of marketing yourself

Laughing all the Way to Work

There are always areas each of us can improve upon, but I think we are the ones who can teach each other through mentoring new employees, writing articles on ideas we have or techniques for getting the job done and even speaking about it. This August will be my one-year anniversary of starting my blog. It is hard to believe it has been a year already. Over 250 articles later and here I am still blogging.

We are what we think.let’s start thinking “Important!”

Laughing all the Way to Work

I read our professional magazines and notice that the majority of the articles are written by office consultants or HR professionals. I am a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and each time I meet with this group of professionals I come away appreciating more and more how much each of us knows and how qualified we are in our careers. I started out wanting to write an article on mentoring.
