Anxiety and stress. Over the past two years, I’ve seen more and more information published about people receiving an ADHD diagnosis as an adult. It stays in front of me throughout the day on a bright notepad sitting on the right hand side of my keyboard. Trouble managing time and tasks. Lack of planning ability. And that’s OK.

I printed these off and had them next to my keyboard whenever I was working through another set of meeting notes. I used to find that I repeated the same words over and over to describe the decisions made and actions agreed. So a few years ago I wrote out a list of 50 handy verbs that I could slot into the minutes as and when I needed them.

A major part of my processing speed is in keyboard shortcuts in my e-mail program. You should look into keyboard shortcuts too. For each step of my process, I have a keyboard shortcut such as CTRL-1, CTRL-2 , CTRL-3, etc. Finding Information Quickly. For work, I use Outlook. Be careful not to add everyone to this list.
