Another way you can accomplish this is to have a meeting book just for meetings with your boss where you can write questions you need to ask or insert items you need direction on. This can be as simple as a lined note book, but restricted only for meetings with your boss. I call it the CEO folder.

To prepare a minute template simply use your agenda and put it in minute format. Under each agenda heading you can then record the appropriate information when you are in the meeting. I use the meeting agenda as an index with each item as a tab number. My battery power died half way through the meeting. It is interesting work.

I tend to keep my scheduling sheets in chronological order and each morning I go through them to see if there is any action I need to take, i.e. follow up to ask for an agenda or see if I can start scheduling.
