I knew we were going to go back to that city the next year so negotiated with the hotel that if I booked the next event at their venue would they waive the cancellation fee. Negotiation As you saw above, negotiation is possible. Fortunately, they were able to waive it and we only lost our $500 deposit. It is always worth asking.

One company outsourced its IT, negotiating excellent rates. In another case, the organization picked an outsourcer based on a board member’s recommendation. For a mid-sized organization, not so much. The outsourcer may also be spending significant time sorting through duplicates and trainings questions.

By starting to organize the app at a higher level I created a bit of light over the whole project. Now I had a complete visual implementation: tasks were nicely organized by date in Today, Soon and Overdue. No more arguing or negotiating, I just started to code it. Calling the class in other views was problematic, though.
