This has been a tradition in our office for quite some time now, where people would decorate the office, dress up in funky costumes and bring baked treats for everyone. Luckily, in my office, we dress in casual clothes all of the time and we do have a corporate policy of being able to dress up in a costume for this event.

The reason I use the latter method is because our company policy is that we cant download any software that IT doesnt approve. There are two ways of backing up your e-mails. And so when you do it at a team level and you have all these teams basically having their own policy, their own team agreements, then it also works as a company. But I think that when you cross borders or more importantly, time zones, you really have to rethink how you’re going to organize a company. I had to stay late.

My view of my role is to support that journey, is to make sure that they have the right tools, that they have the right processes and policies around that as well. Well, I’m going to go to work for Google because they use gympas instead of Microsoft because they don’t. Do people really make a decision? I slept 1 hour more.
