We used to have every twice a year, once a year, whatever, HR would email all the leadership teams so all the managers from all the different departments and stuff, and say okay, it’s review time and everybody gets an email of the most up–to–date review form and all that stuff. What I’ve learned about procedures development is that most of us aren’t lacking the motivation. Set a five-minute timer on your phone and dive in. I use the project task list as a starting point for outlining the forms, templates, checklists, and procedures I need to complete the project. We know we need them. Set a timer.

Use the notebook for everything you want to keep track of: to do lists, grocery lists, client meetings, phone calls, dreams and goals. Pick a half-dozen little items that can be completed in 5 minutes each or less (an email you need to send, a phone call to make, something to look up on the internet.) a 6x9(ish) spiral notebook.
