The mistakes were along the lines of typos, not explaining a request so it was 100% dummy-proof, and not catching a detail buried on a multi-page group email that had been forwarded to so many people by the time it got to me that I had to hunt and peck for the bits of information like I was looking for Waldo.

Try to set up the communication of the office so your boss checks their own emails and responds, but you are in charge of all the mtg coordination, phones, and anything that happens in the office.
