Nintel are saying there’s all the office predictions of saying that this chunk where we talk about the traditional sector that makes up sort of 90% of the market with a traditional office lease is slowly declining and that the Flex office sector is going to increase from that 10% to 30%. So we’re really seeing a transition there.

I made my way up to the reception area, via some lovely shops, and was welcomed by two smiley members of staff, both of which were excellent. The customer service throughout my stay at the Staybridge was fantastic. Westfield is also dangerously on the doorstep with loads of shops, restaurants and cafes.

With only eight properties in the whole of Europe you could consider it a bizarre choice to set up a super hotel complex 10 miles from the nearest railway station in a tiny Scottish town with less than 20,000 inhabitants. There are over 200 bedrooms, a fantastic spa and a few restaurants, making this without doubt a complex in more than name.

Hairdryer and make-up mirror. The hotel has everything that a business traveller requires with access to a 24 hour business centre and faultless wifi throughout the building. The hotel has a well placed restaurant – The Lafayette , which has a lovely fine dining menu and is perfect for a client dinner or morning meeting.

The hotel had invited me up to their new roof top terrace – the 5 lounge bar-restaurant – to sample their cocktails and new bar menu. Quite simply breakfast at the Swissôtel Métropole was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. That unfortunately is where the positives end.

I arrived into Chicago following a very very long over night journey from Memphis and all I wanted to do was get to my hotel so that I could catch up on some much needed sleep. Now that is customer service! Luckily I was staying at The Talbott, a hotel that didn’t mind checking me in at 8am.

While you don’t see people smoking inside trains, smoking in restaurants, especially bars, is allowed. A majority of public restrooms (unless in a nice restaurant) in Japan do not have soap, paper towels, or even hand dryers. Trains stop running around 11pm or midnight and start up again around 6am or 7am.

My family traveled to another town last weekend for my daughter’s basketball tournament, and with time on our hands before tip-off, we decided to grab a bite to eat.
