Perhaps we put a lot of the stress on ourselves because we feel that every e-mail has to be replied to immediately. I also learned at a "Working Smarter with Microsoft Outlook" seminar that we should not use e-mails as urgent requests. Anyway, it taught me to re-read, more than once if necessary, an e-mail that I think is negative.
