I seriously count on my calendar to keep track of what I’m supposed to do, and when, and it’s my first-used tool in just about everything I do. I calendar (in Outlook) everything during my work day (generally 8a-6p, M-R).

Every afternoon before I leave for the day, I go through the hanging file for that month to see if there is anything I need to bring forward for the next day. A tip she passed along had to do with the bring-forward system and has been a great tool for me.

By using labels in combination with filters, I am able to automatically sort and label (file) most of my e-mail before it arrives in my in-box.
