The Dymo business card scanner app for the iPhone  is such a product.    You download the app to your iPhone (they also support other smartphones) and when you take a picture of a business card it automatically adds the appropriate information to your contact list.   It's also kinda fun to use.

Both times I’ve replaced my phone as quickly as is humanly possible because I am just lost without it (sometimes I am literally lost without it thanks to my dependence on Google maps to get me about London!). Although I still do print everything off this is a great app to have on your phone so you can check your details on the go.

I use the website all the time, not just for planning travel but also for expenses, so it is helpful having the app on my phone. If your company does not have expenses software this is a good alternative.

This will save your company time and money. You really have to be careful with these, as pertinent company information could leak out into the wrong hands. You would either have to spend time shredding the papers yourself or hire a shredding company to do it for you.

Do you find that your staff are not being consistent with their memos, e-mails , the way they answer the phone , etc.? all over the place, there is no consistency and makes everyone look bad, especially the company. Someone needs to take over your responsibilities during that time. Also, if people are writing e-mails, memos, etc.

I keep it with my digital profile stored on my phone so when I give out my contact information, my client’s have the number handy. If you don’t have one and are considering going into business for yourself you can get sorted out rather quickly and simply from the IRS. Less clutter on a business card tends to attract more attention.

It would be interesting to see how many companies would allow for this type of dress code, since quite a lot of places have client visits on a regular basis. I work in a back office environment, where 99% of our client interaction is via the phone, e-mail or outside of the office, so I can wear jeans and a t-shirt.

B eing able to retrieve the data is more important than an organized alphabetized file drawer. I remember going to a walk-in clinic (doctors office) for an ailment at the time.
