We then traveled from Sydney north to Cairns for two and a half weeks stopping by many spots to experience the outdoor side of Aussie during the day and the libation side of Aussie at night.

One other thing I’d add for freelancing–and it’s either a pro or a con depending how you look at it–is that you need to build your network of freelancers through professional organizations, meetups or some other way. I personally met a few bloggers I respect while I was traveling last year and it was a fantastic experience. You know immediately if you did a blunder or if you hit it big. My ultimate goal is to grow, evolve and become brilliantly better. If I am avoiding rejection then I am in conflict with my goal. I feel it almost organically. But sometimes is something like: “my life has really changed and I was able to leave behind an ugly/abusive/unhappy time, thank you”. Whenever I receive one of these messages, something starts to melt inside me. As you can see, these ways of measuring your online reputation have almost nothing to do with numbers.

Speaking of errors, specifically about error messages, after 30 days of learning Objective C I am totally convinced that the error messages in Xcode were invented by a joyous and careless hermit, with the only goal of driving programmers crazy. By starting to organize the app at a higher level I created a bit of light over the whole project.
