Some people in the office were trying to get the remote working as we had a PowerPoint presentation coming up and were calling it things like remote thingy , remote slide clicker, wireless mouse so I finally asked, "Does anyone know what the official name for that thing is?" It's called a Presentation Remote. Thanks Patty.

I was in a workshop today on presentation skills and one of the things they had us do was present something to the group while they filmed us. Other than the extra work I need to do at the gym to tone up and trim down, I saw some good qualities as well and it was helpful to see myself present. Thanks Anonymous for sharing.

I dont mind being referred to as someones assistant. My all-time favourite however is colleague. My current boss always refers to me as his colleague, both to those within our company and to external contacts when referring them to me. I tend to use the term boss when I refer to my employer. 411 Look Up 411.ca

We live in an Acronym Happy World.

Coming from a legal background, we were always taught if you are using an acronym or initialism in writing, on the first use you should spell it out and then put the acronym in brackets, which makes a lot of sense and saves a lot of head scratching and searching the document to figure out what the person is referring to. 411 Look Up 411.ca
