If you can prove yourself as a good worker you can go up through the ranks and because they already know how you work, they are more apt to promote you. If a more experienced assistant comes alongside you and provides mentoring - dont refuse it. I have seen admin assistants climb up the corporate ladder just that way.

I have been an Executive Assistant for over 10 years, and am now working for a Vice President in an academic medical center. Successful executives are rarely lazy and slow if they earned their title from being promoted through hard work and not nepotism, etc. They are bringing in a top exec from a major Fortune 500.

You’ve taken it to an entirely new high, working around other people, incubation theories, mentoring theories, accelerator theories, fundings, exits, team rooms, the very start up to the very exit point overall. Great at marketing and self promotion, but horrid at the concept of actually building a community inside of the facilities.
