One of the most surprising things for me was to learn that not all companies will give you an expense account or a company credit card. Have money for job hunting and working. I do know that the more experienced an EA is the PERCEPTION is they are less hungry, less flexible, less tech savvy, or less open to learning than new EAs who are trying to get their foot in the door, prove their worth, and are new to the EA role. State that on your resume, in your cover letter, over the phone, and don’t tell anyone at work. However, over time, I learned that sometimes what I thought might be problem, was in fact not.
