This happens to me quite often, since I help about 30 people, including 6 managers. The best way to deal with stressful situations like this is to stop, take a breath and relax for a few minutes. Just getting out the tension will release any anxiety and stress you may have. Exercise can do wonders.

You mentioned that youve spoken to your supervisor, HR, etc. Did you take it up each level all the way to the top? Dont drive yourself nuts about these things.

  [link]   When I would get a new manager on my team, I'd encourage them to flip through the book and flag items that appealed to them.  Burnout and stress are morale killers that cost USA businesses $300 Billion per year. It makes my meditation practice much easier because peace is cumulative like stress.

Ask your boss for opportunities to train in other departments, or to attend seminars or classes at a local university. They may feel they have even less time for a personal life, which compounds the stress. Stay current.
