If you are active on other social media platforms such as Twitter and don’t have a website you can add your LinkedIn profile. If you don’t currently have an up to date CV you can turn your LinkedIn profile into a PDF. Tag on media at the bottom of your summary profile (videos, pdf, blogs, etc.) Join LinkedIn Groups.

Hand over the iPad to a guest who can then fill in a form with their details, take a photo and sign an agreement. Another interesting features is that you can give details on other attendees Twitter or LinkedIn profile so that everyone can keep in touch once the meeting has finished which is great if you have guest speakers.

2 -- Get Ready to Let Go When you are deciding what to let go of and what to keep in physical form, ask yourself "What is the worst possible thing that would happen if I no longer had this item?" Eliminate a lot of paper by having your statements sent to you electronically in PDF format. 400 Gigs Gone!

I have people following me on Twitter who say things like, “Hey, if you’re looking for new writing markets, you should try this website.” megs’ worth of PDF. Forty-five minutes later, I open the PDF, and the first thing I see is a spelling mistake. My biggest pet peeve at the moment is Twitter. It may be easier.
