There are numerous examples of people stealing from companies or doing illegal things. One of the most surprising things for me was to learn that not all companies will give you an expense account or a company credit card. It gives the impression that you are extra trustworthy. Have enough credit.

Whenever I meet people for coffee or a meal, I am always interested to learn about them as a person and their work. I love doing informationals because I like learning about what people do, even if I am not in that industry, and perhaps get an office tour down the line, and make a new friend if they introduce me to someone else.

Other jobs, because they were temp to full time, I didn’t even have the benefits of paid vacation time or paid sick days for almost a year. It always perplexes me when small companies do not hire a temp or have in mind another staff person to fill in for the admin or EA to go on a vacation or call in sick.

If I had more work to do and would be learning along the way, I would stay. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. You mention you would stay if you had more work to do or you were learning more. For example, I ABSOLUTELY love learning, helping people, and relaxing.
