To cut down on unwanted mail , register with the Direct Marketing Association (you can stop junk email here too). The rule of thumb is to shred anything with personal information such as account numbers, medical and employment info, ATM slips and travel itineraries. You can download PDF copies and keep them on your computer.

Heres a link to download a copy of the sign , if youre interested. The easiest way to avoid this is to create a "Do Not Disturb" sign and place it somewhere on your cubicle that can be seen clearly. Many of my colleagues have used this method and I have never seen anyone complain, from either side.

If you receive a file that was written in the Microsoft Office 2007 format, you can download the patch called Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats. The only downfall was that if you accidentally sent the client a Microsoft Excel XP version, they wouldnt be able to open it.

After the meeting, provide a copy of the meeting minutes to everyone involved in the meeting. You will notice that your meetings will run much smoother once you apply these methods.

It allows us to easily email branded invoices to our clients, which they can then pay by mail or online. By recording payments as we receive them, we can just as easily monitor overdue payments and send email reminders. I travel by car to see many of my clients, in their homes. I sit in my car and check my email.

Here's a tip: you talk to, email several people a day. 1) Send an email response. 2) Turn your email into a blog post - at least 250 words, spell-checked and edited. (3) 6) 1 podcast + 1 pdf of the article = 1 product. The list itself could be one. Any other item could become another article. Let the articles begin.
