When he is away, it is very quiet and sometimes I just have to get up and walk around and visit someone or it feels like I am there by myself. I can interact where I am now, but I have to get up and go if I want to speak with someone and then when I get there I may find they are busy or on the phone so I have wasted my time.

Tried and True Method: I set up 12 hanging file folders labelled January through to December. For paper things that I need to remember to follow up on, I put the letter or document in my Wait Bin (which is a tray for things I am waiting on). The system I use is quite simple and has been around for a long time.

It is important to be on a schedule where go to bed and wake up at consistent daily times. This allows you to sleep better at night and wake up feeling truly refreshed. Even staying up just one extra hour will decrease your energy and productivity. Part of this has to do with getting enough sleep at night.

I personally use a Franklin Covey planner because I love the look of the pages, but many other companies make planner pages with the same set-up.  Thinking Through A Pen As a writer, I enjoy being able to open up my planner to jot things down. Make sure you choose an organizer that you feel confident and comfortable using.

I think part of the problem is that we've become so accustomed to texting and emailing and communicating through social media that we've lost a bit of our confidence when it comes to interacting with another person face-to-face.
