But you can’t be confident in your choice until you get out there and test your idea. As an achiever, you probably have great confidence in your abilities. You need a niche.

Sure, tile estimating for commercial construction might be a fairly small niche, but Pat, are you going to tell me you have NO other related skills/knowledge (or unrelated ones)? The benefits included a renewed confidence in my writing, massive amounts of ideas for articles, and a honing of my skills. For example, for the past 44 days, I’ve filled a page in my personal journal every day. It started as a 30 day trial, to see what I would get out of it. So I stuck with it because it made my life better.
