2) Now that I'm job hunting again my biggest obstacle is HR or executives see not working for a CEO is a step down for me even though I don't see it that way. All my jobs have been with major corporations or conglomerates which also means only so many exist in the world and also in Los Angeles/entertainment industry.

I also handle his executive calendar and work in the office with him. For me, and this may or may not be the case with you, I learned I was bored, unhappy, stretched too thin, and I was neglecting myself. How did I learn this? I learned I need a vacation ASAP. I love being an EA. I mentored other younger assistants.

I've worked for him for 2 years, and recently I learned his boss is being replaced. This person is not bringing their assistant, and I've learned they will get the assistant to her predecessor. Her skill set it basically calendar and coffee. Her skill set it basically calendar and coffee. This is a bad idea!

If I had more work to do and would be learning along the way, I would stay. Right now I just put things on his calendar and order food. I knew I didn’t want to job hunt for more than 6-9 months if I didn’t have to. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness.
