When I receive an initial request for a meeting, I use a meeting form and write down the information I need: who is requesting the meeting, what is the purpose of the meeting, where it will be held and a phone number or an e-mail address and dates that are available. If there are forms that need to filled in and it has a due date in June, I put those forms in the June folder with a bf date on it for a week before it is due. I create a corresponding Task reminder and write something like this: WAITBIN need to prepare form for production by March 23rd. Excellent material!

It would be much easier to keyboard it but I know it wouldn’t have the same effect as writing it by hand. I do feel much more comfortable with a keyboard than hand though. I actually find it quite therapeutic and sometimes, a form of meditation. I get hand cramps! By hand the ideas get stalled by my writing speed.

For example, if you sell a book for $10, you might sell a workbook for $40. Five years ago, a three-inch thick book was too small for me. Their cost is labor, and in the accounting books, the time you spend writing that ebook carries a cost that you enter in the COGS of your journal. What follows is me thinking into my keyboard.

Elizabeth Gilbert, who wrote a book called Eat, Pray Love , once gave a TED speech that suggested creative people are pretty emotionally twisted. Just once in a while… I find I have those moments as well, and if you’re not right there with the pen or the keyboard, then you’ve lost it. Do you think that’s true? Definitely.
