This is what we do: My husband monitors travel sites and email subscription services for super-cheap flights or error fares. Sometimes one of us travels for work and the other tags along. With us, travel is always interesting. Of course, the investment in travel goes well beyond money. I am not a flexible person.

Well 2012 is over and done with and we are now already two days into 2013. In honour of it now being 2013 I´ve got 13 things I think we can expect to see in the year ahead. With the assistant role now encompassing so many varied tasks we should expect to see a rise in training for assistants in 2013. Role diversification.

In 2013, she made it official by creating a business , aptly named Bonnie Winston Matchmaker. Winston’s matchmaking skills debut on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel One of Winston’s clients asked if she’d be willing to provide consultation to Marin Hinkle on how to be a matchmaker. They travel a lot but don’t stay in touch.

Back in 2013 HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland released the Management Assistant 2020 report , which detailed how the role of an Assistant will change by 2020. In 2013, many assistants still sat in silos in their office. Our skills will also keep our teams happy, healthy and motivated.
