I was at a recent IAAP Chapter meeting and we were discussing best practices for organizing our Inboxes and there were a lot of good ideas. The first step is take control of your emails and don't let them take control of you One of the things I have found helpful is to turn my email notification off. It works well.

While researching it, I stumbled upon information on the International Association of Administrative Professional (IAAP) Education Forum and Annual Meeting (EFAM). I joined IAAP and registered for EFAM. There was no online presence and no one responded to my emails. It was in Boston for IT Administrators.

Then I would focus on the daily processes and get in agreement as to how you both will handle them such as daily huddles, travel, meetings, follow-up, and email. My third was reading.

The tip she sent me was how to edit an email that you have received. Close out of the email and you will be asked to Save the changes.

Finally, after 16 years, I received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. My philosophy is better late than never!
