Both times I’ve replaced my phone as quickly as is humanly possible because I am just lost without it (sometimes I am literally lost without it thanks to my dependence on Google maps to get me about London!). Here are a few of my favourites: Travel. This app is slightly more expensive but worth paying for if your manager travels a lot.

There are advancements in the travel industry every year. I think the biggest change for assistants is the increased use of the mobile phone when travelling. Executives have been able to use their phone to book and board an aircraft but now they can use their phones to pay for hotels, restaurants and cabs.

Sometimes I wish I had something to warn me when I am with someone with a cell phone so I can know that we are going to be interrupted. I find it frustrating when people either text while in a conversation or are constantly taking phone calls. Apparently not, when its by phone. In an emergency, the cell phone is a useful tool.

There are many teachers in my extended family and it seemed like something I could do well, but our family did not have any money to further my education and I became a secretary instead. Another time I wanted to try a career in the travel business. Now I am glad I stayed in this career because I can do all these things.
