The encoding stage refers to the process of putting information into memory. The storage stage refers to retention or maintaining information in memory. The retrieval stage refers to recovering information from memory. So hang up the phone, find a quiet place and focus. Stay organized. Try chunking items into smaller groups.

Still others get completely overwhelmed with the information drowning their in-boxes on a daily basis. Be careful not to send long rambling emails, make sure your action items are clear and concise, include deadlines and all necessary information. Ask yourself if you REALLY want to receive that information.

That’s a key point and a very important question for every blogger who had been wrecked more than one keyboard writing. As a rule of thumb, an ebook should provide more information than a blog post, or a series of blog posts. But you can create a lot of other related products, not necessarily information based. You might find a PDA a tad too 'stale' in the way information is presented. For example, if all you need is a place to store contact information and keep your calendar, that is much different than a system that can prompt you for different types of follow up, keep templates, etc. Are you methodical and a logical thinker?
