Maybe it’s a form of burnout? When we write in almost a free form and just let it flow, I find that some of our best work is produced. His emails are usually brief, casual, and mention something like, “Have a nice weekend,” or “Hope everything’s good with you.” So it was weird to get an email that was so stilted and formal that it sounded like it was written by the Queen of England’s chamberlain to someone she was too polite to outright call a waste of space.

It would be much easier to keyboard it but I know it wouldn’t have the same effect as writing it by hand. I do feel much more comfortable with a keyboard than hand though.
