Make them laugh – Although you want to educate your audience, you need to make them laugh as well. In essence, it keeps the audience alert and they’ll learn more from you than someone who just educates. The audience isn’t there to read your slides, they are there to listen to you present.

Attendance at arts performances dropped from 15 million to 13 million in 2001-2006; Low income, living in a poor neighbourhood, low parental education, recent immigration, racialized status, and Aboriginal status affect participation in leisure and culture. Time spent on social leisure activities dropped from 15% in 1998 to 12% in 2005.

Policies that increase employee health and well-being, foster employee commitment and support families, positively impact everyone (employees; men and women, customers and clients, families and communities.) when they have a baby or when they want to continue their education). The employee will give more.

Humans feel satisfied when their needs are met and they don’t have to compromise their values. Write down what you truly need (emotionally, not financially) and value. Do you need stability? Recognition? Do you value spirituality? These are not optional. Get purposeful about getting these things in your life and new directions become clear.

As I was going through the manual, I saw chapters on office procedures, confidentiality, health and safety, security and more. Excellent material!
