Emails have backed up or even if you were checking email, you still go back through to make sure you didn’t miss anything or you now have to take action on your emails. So, I usually take with me my identity card (in Europe I can travel only with that, I don’t need a passport), my driver license and my passport. Never used traveler checks so far.
