Find a mentor. I’ve learned that my daily choices make a big difference in my long-term happiness. Ask questions of mentors and peers. I often think I need new clothes, but when I clean out or organize my closet, I realize I have lots of options and everything I need at my fingertips. Take stock and charge forward.

Blakely readily admits that she wasn’t the first woman to cut the feet off her pantyhose and wear them under her form-fitting clothes.
