It began several years ago when I started working for Mr. H as a temp. What started out as a two-week assignment ended up lasting for seven years! I’ve been an executive assistant for several years and I’ve received a lot of training but I’m not a facilitator or a trainer. I’d like to share my journey of discovery with you.

With Personal Assistants wanting to take on more responsibility this will free up time for management and avoid unnecessary duplication in teams. Put every PA on a shared distribution list and ideally a closed SharePoint site for sharing information such as training & seminars. Have a launch event to promote the PA network.

Now's a great time to set a foundation and train your executive (if they are willing and learn to trust you) so a precedent can be set. Try to set up the communication of the office so your boss checks their own emails and responds, but you are in charge of all the mtg coordination, phones, and anything that happens in the office.
