The committee that planned this event did a terrific job. It was an incredible day – more about what I learned in future posts – and several sponsors provided beverages and food to make the day completely FREE to those in attendance. One of the sponsors was one I’d not heard of Avitae. It is bottled CAFFIENATED water.

Each day as you set your agenda you can balance the list of tasks, networking events and busy work against your three words to see if you are remaining focused. I am still working on my three words for 2010 but my first word is NARROW. If you can remember it, you will do it.

LinkedIn Groups are a great place to share knowledge, get questions answered or spotlight an upcoming event. Right now I’m using two of my groups to gather stories for my Hate My Customer project. You can join groups to find prospects, groups filled with your competitors or groups where you’ll recognize a neighbor or two.

While at the event I met some amazing women and reconnected with some I’d not seen in years. Instead, Hamwi rolled up a waffle and plopped a scoop of ice cream on top, creating one of the world’s first ice-cream cones. He helped his neighbor – and, in the process, made a fortune.
