Many companies these days have specific rules against importing outside mail into their Exchange system, not only for security and confidentiality reasons, but also because of document retention issues. And I definitely don’t want to purchase something from a company I can’t trust to ask me nicely to pay attention to what they’re doing. Definitely easier. Even in a networking setting when someone gives me their business card, I ask whether it’s OK to put them on my list. I don’t want anyone to think it’s okay.
