Keep your goals on someone else’s agenda. Review with your buddy. Have your buddy do more than review accomplishment. Write it down.

Waiting can eat up a fair portion of your time. Stand up for visitors. If a visitor comes into your office, stand up to greet them and don’t invite them to sit down. Use follow-up flags or dated calendar alarms to bring forward e-mail when it needs attention. Review your voice messages, take notes and delete them.

I take the bus to work and I often see people getting on a busy bus and then going through their backpack or purse looking for their bus tickets and holding up the line. I like to be prepared and I find life just works better for me at home, work and even on the bus, when I am organized and ready for whatever is coming up. no tickets.

Once I feel I've captured every idea on a note, I find a stretch of wall and stick each idea up. "Heads Up. Then create rules so emails automatically go into the folders and you review these folders when needed, once a day, a few times a week. I write down one task or to-do on a Post-It, and put it up on a wall.
