Last week I went along to Confex 2012, for those that don’t know Confex is a large exhibition aimed predominately at event organisers. During this year’s event the powers that be put on a PA day which along with the exhibition including specific training sessions for PAs. Is this excessive or is it reasonable?

You’d think that if you had a credit card, you’d be safe, but I once had to get a cashier’s check for almost $400 for a work event. Have money for group gifts. Alternately, you could say you only had X amount of dollars in your wallet and give that, offer to write a check, or give your own gift by baking cookies or something.
