While our emails and phones do follow us home, the lack of human interruptions and noise means the home working environment poses significantly fewer distractions.

I also try to have a quick catch-up with the MD either by phone or face-to-face. On days where I’ve been too knackered after work to cook, for lunch the next day, I’d pop to one of many great restaurants near the office. There are some fab vietnamese restaurants – I’m partial to a kimchi banh mi.

Meeting other assistants who work near by, who share the same suppliers, hotels, restaurants etc. I recently spoke at the Assist Conference in September 2015, and at Skyscanner’s Company Presentation in December to around 300 people. Sherien : I am sure I am with the millions when I say I can’t live without my phone.
