If the worker has the power to negotiate their pay and hire other workers, they’re an independent contractor. Travel Policies For international travel, you’re better off excluding fun and games and booking hotels instead of resorts.

Perhaps you are already a 2nd or 3rd assistant to someone high profile and you want to run the office of your executive as you get promoted through the years. And because executives are constantly traveling for weeks at a time, it may take a month or three just to finally meet everyone. Be prepared to have 5-10 meetings for one job.

I've heard of EAs who are promoted to Operations or Facilities roles later on in their careers but at this point, I am playing both roles. I can only say I am pretty certain how talented and qualified you are since I don’t know your previous experience, how long you’ve been in this role, and how your performance reviews are.

If her boss LOVED her maybe her boss really only needed calendar and coffee help, but we won’t know for sure what her boss thought and all the performance reviews HR has for her 30+ years vs your 2 years. Successful executives are rarely lazy and slow if they earned their title from being promoted through hard work and not nepotism, etc.

One could argue that this will be a tutorial for rewiring your brain, while others may think that this will be just a review for a product I like. Do some flexibility games before a negotiation, it will make easier for you to see the opportunities in the discussion. No one would be right, of course. It will be something in between.
