Hosted on a social media platform (typically LinkedIn), it’s a way to attract attention, share your accomplishments and expertise, and create a professional global network. You can include the link to your social portfolio in your resume header so that recruiters can easily connect to your profile and work samples.

Keep your resume up-to-date. Even if you aren’t actively job searching, your resume should always be ready to go so you don’t get stuck making last minute updates. Your resume is one of the most important documents you have to offer so you don’t want to rush it or ignore it for years on end. Get a mentor.

Maybe in a few days we get our resume together and search a couple of the big online job boards to check out the available positions. If we’re feeling particularly ambitious, maybe we send out some resumes to local companies. Having mentors in place will not only help you professionally, but personally. And that’s about it.
