After a few years of becoming their Head Receptionist and not learning anything new I was ready for a new challenge. I would also learn earlier on how to train yourself to switch off. Cath is always on the end of the phone/email when I need her and I appreciate that. It’s a learning curve for everyone.

  We learned back in pre-school that trying to fit a square peg into a round hole just does not work.    It would be nice if the world was that simple, but as we all know, people have different thinking and learning styles.    They even have different rates that they can learn and absorb information.

Use the notebook for everything you want to keep track of: to do lists, grocery lists, client meetings, phone calls, dreams and goals. Pick a half-dozen little items that can be completed in 5 minutes each or less (an email you need to send, a phone call to make, something to look up on the internet.) a 6x9(ish) spiral notebook.

When I was a graduate student, I was mildly surprised to learn that a thesis statement could expand into an entire thesis. I take my best content and turn it into workshops and allow people to play with and I hope learn from the ideas. Some of those become blog posts, newsletter articles, parts of books. I like to take it live!
