How do I get a recommendation letter from my boss for a new job hunt without raising suspicion or improve my situation without my boss’ help? I can not stress volunteering enough to spruce up your resume for when are you ready to leave your current company. HR will usually call 2-3 people for a quick phone chat.

The job-hunting experience can be a stressful one: sending out resumes, interviewing, sending out more resumes and interviewing again. It can take weeks, even months, to nail the job you want. For example, does the boss prefer face-to-face communication or phone calls and e-mail?

Job satisfaction is important. Polish up the ol resume It is all right to send your resume out and see what kind of response you get. There are still jobs to be had, you just have to find them. I was speaking to a manager the other day and he said when he gets a resume, that is one of the first things he checks.

Your resume should always be able to reflect that you’ve kept up on the latest training and skills. They may feel they have even less time for a personal life, which compounds the stress. Pick up the phone. Use your personal cell phone out of earshot of others. Update (or build) your resume. Don’t gossip at work.

You can actually do and say all that AS LONG AS you don’t say it with too much desperation, emotion, stress, and general freaking out-ness. Look for a job CONFIDENTIALLY. State that on your resume, in your cover letter, over the phone, and don’t tell anyone at work. I would not mention you might get laid off.
