Regarding the latter, can he/she even legally ask you to do those things (pick up dry cleaning, get a babysitter for the kids, etc etc?) You can ask in the interview in a nice way. There are others who mean well, but never have enough time to mentor you. This is something you should think about while interviewing for jobs.
