Most of the time assistants tell me they can’t attend our conference for administrative assistants or training because of budget cuts or not getting financial support. Be prepared to negotiate if necessary. If you request to attend a Training Day and they say that time away from the office is the main issue, then you need to make the conference seem as undisruptive as possible. Like everything in business, it’s about negotiation for both funds and time. Internal & External Training.
