I also haven’t been growing or learning anything new since Day 1 because my boss won’t give me projects. I would like to get better assignments, promoted, or get a raise before a few more years go by. Granted, I understand that many managers are busy and it’s faster for them to do certain projects.

When I started to work for this project (and yes, it was just a pet project in the beginning), all I did was to log daily my progress. Learned how to create a project and what the folder structure means. Did a few tests with some sample projects to see how the building process works. Program received “BAD_EXC” message.

I also thought about money, salary negotiation, and how I was spending my time. Do NOT go to your boss and say, “I’d love more work and projects.” I can only assume you get one, and there is a section about goals, improvements, things you want to learn/change, or some sort of feedback about maybe even getting promoted out.
