When I was a graduate student, I was mildly surprised to learn that a thesis statement could expand into an entire thesis. Whenever I meet people for coffee or a meal, I am always interested to learn about them as a person and their work. I love doing informationals because I like learning about what people do, even if I am not in that industry, and perhaps get an office tour down the line, and make a new friend if they introduce me to someone else.
